Sutum Bridge - Old Emscher

An idyll before the industrial revolution
The Emscher was a wild river before industrialisation swept through what is now the Ruhr region. Discover here on the Sutum Bridge in AR how it used to meander through the floodplain landscape.
Look for the ball with the number 51 on the Sutum Bridge, stand on the footprints and tap on "Start AR".
You can find detailed instructions on how to use the AR applications here on the "AR Help" page.
Watch out for other people, your surroundings and traffic while using AR!
For a long time, the Emscher was an insignificant tributary of the Rhine. Before the conversion, it flowed for 109 kilometres from Holzwickede until it flowed into the Rhine. Back then, hundreds of fish swam in the clear and clean water.
