Hans Väth

Hans Väth was employed as an architect at the Consolidation Colliery from 1928. He was later appointed head of the construction department. In this role, he was significantly involved in major remodelling work on the Glückauf Stadium. Ten years after its opening, Väth modernised the stadium: the demands of top-level football had changed. The stadium was given bathrooms, massage and gymnastics rooms, a club room and modern business and meeting rooms. The new covered stand was inaugurated in 1936.
